About yourself:
My name is Prince Pal, Born in Delhi, 21st September 1980, Now live in the city beautiful- Chandigarh, India. I’ve always been a creative person and a lover of art and technology. Ever since my childhood, I’ve tried to be a ‘creative technologist’ playing with different forms n shapes and so, I think I was always destined to be a graphic designer.
As far as my work experience is concerned, currently, I am holding the position of ‘Creative Director’ at Silicon Innovation.
I’ve also worked for multinational companies like, Bug Interactive (Norway) and Net Solutions (India). Before getting into, web-designing, I used to make graphic designs for surfing, paint surfboards and walls, experiment with still motion, make music and other such stuff.
Your Achievements:
I don’t think, I have achieved anything extraordinary in my life as yet. I just work hard and try to translate my vision into a virtual reality. The day I am able to do something worthwhile for the humanity, I think that’s when I’ll believe that I’ve achieved something!
About your Experience with design:
The first time when I lay my hands on PC, was in 1998, at my uncle’s office. There I happened to design a ‘cup-plate’ graphic painting in MS-paint and that was my first entry into the world of design. After that I started drawing on a regular basis and in the year, 2001, I bought a P3 PC and luckily hardware guy installed Photoshop V5. Then I started experimenting on Photoshop and as my interest grew, I decided to complete my ‘fine arts’ course from Punjab University. A long with studies, I also started working at a company as a graphic designer to hone my skills further.
In 2006, a very good friend of mine, mentioned to me about Deviant Art and in 2007 I joined DA. After joining this site, a major change in my life occurred. I learn a lot about my designing abilities-thanks to the DA wherein, the comments and critiques posted by fellow artists, on my designs, help me a lot in strengthening my art skills. Till date, I take those comments very seriously.

Do you have a particular process you go through for each design?
I always believe that ‘Design is black. The reason being, that when I receive a text based .doc file from client that is generally BLACK. J And I read it & design it LOL.
I follow a very simple process. Read design brief> A simple question form on the behalf of design >Wireframe > In the End Produce a unique design.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration for graphic design?
That’s true that as an artist, it’s in my nature to draw inspiration from various aspects of life to produce a detailed design. My biggest inspiration is of course, The Mother Nature and to get that, I make sure that I travel a lot to see the flora and fauna of various different places on our planet. My favorite country is Italy J
Apart from the Nature, I also get inspiration by:
1. Playing games in my free time. (now a days I am playing COD5)
2. Spending time on different kinds of gadgets; right now
3. I have psp/iphone/sony laptop… In a few months I shall be buying an apple notebook pro ![]()
4. Being on DA coz I am a DA addict and that’s the place where I get a genuine feedback for my works and that adds various new dimensions to my designing skills.
Message for designers:
Make your own rule, get inspired but don’t copy anybody’s works.
That’s how you can create unique designs.
